ISLAMABAD — Federal ministers have strongly refuted circulating claims on social media alleging discriminatory treatment of citizens from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, speaking at a press briefing alongside Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, labeled the social media narratives as misleading and baseless. He said that these posts were part of a deliberate misinformation campaign by those unwilling to accept Pakistan’s achievements in the Marka-e-Haq.
Dr. Chaudhry urged citizens, especially the youth, to exercise caution and avoid sharing such content without proper verification.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry added that the Islamabad Police operates professionally and is directly accountable to the Interior Ministry. He revealed that a forensic audit of the viral videos and posts showed that they were old, unrelated to AJK residents, and included AI-generated voices designed to mislead the public.
The ministers stressed the importance of relying on verified information and warned against spreading content that could incite unnecessary tension or confusion.
