The federal government has approved a significant revision to the compensation packages for members of the Civil Armed Forces (CAF) who are martyred or injured while performing their duties. According to the Interior Ministry, the updated structure aligns CAF benefits with those already granted to the Islamabad Police a move aimed at acknowledging the sacrifices of personnel who serve on the front lines of national security.
Under the new policy, the families of CAF martyrs from Grade 1 to Grade 9 will now receive Rs10 million, while officers in Grade 20 and above will be entitled to Rs20 million. Officials say this marks a major increase from the compensation limits set in 2020, and is intended to provide families with stronger financial stability during times of profound loss.
The revised framework also improves support for those injured in the line of duty. Personnel who sustain serious injuries will receive Rs200,000, whereas those suffering minor injuries will be granted Rs100,000.
Government representatives note that the changes are part of a broader effort to strengthen the welfare system for Pakistan’s security forces. By harmonizing benefits across departments, the policy aims to ensure fairness and boost morale among CAF personnel, who play a critical role in maintaining internal security and responding to emergencies nationwide.
Officials believe the updated compensation package will not only honor the sacrifices of the Civil Armed Forces but also reassure their families that the state stands firmly behind them—both in recognition and in tangible support.
