Naqvi slams India for rejecting Trump’s mediation offer on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has criticised India for turning down former US President Donald Trump’s offer to mediate on the Kashmir dispute, saying the refusal reflects New Delhi’s “warlike mentality.”

In his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, observed on July 13, Naqvi said India’s rejection was a lost opportunity for peaceful dialogue. “By refusing mediation, India has once again shown its unwillingness to resolve issues through diplomatic channels,” he remarked.

The minister also paid tribute to the 22 Kashmiris martyred on July 13, 1931, during a peaceful protest against the oppressive Dogra regime, calling their sacrifice a timeless symbol of courage and resistance against tyranny.
