ISLAMABAD – July 1, 2025: In a major step toward improving passenger convenience and transparency, Pakistan Railways has officially launched a new mobile application — Track My Train — designed to provide real-time train tracking and travel updates to users across the country.
Launched on June 18, the app is now available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, replacing the outdated tracking system previously in use.
With Track My Train, passengers can now track the exact location of any train in real time on a digital map, helping them plan their journey more efficiently and avoid unnecessary wait times at stations.
Beyond just tracking location, the app offers detailed information about each train’s route, including upcoming stops, expected travel times, and platform arrival and departure schedules. A particularly helpful feature is the delay tracker, which compares estimated versus actual arrival times — allowing passengers to stay informed about any delays while traveling or waiting for a loved one.
The app currently supports both English and Urdu, making it widely accessible to most passengers nationwide. While additional regional language support hasn’t been introduced yet, officials say future updates may expand accessibility even further.
“This is a much-needed upgrade to our passenger services,” said a senior Pakistan Railways official. “We’re committed to improving the travel experience through technology and greater transparency.”
For a country where train travel remains a lifeline for millions, this initiative marks a meaningful move toward modernization and customer-focused service.
