Iranian President Praises Pakistan’s Firm Support Against Israeli Aggression

TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran deeply values its strong ties with Pakistan, acknowledging Islamabad’s unwavering support during his country’s confrontation with Israel.

He made these remarks while meeting Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Tehran on Tuesday. President Pezeshkian said Iran would always remember Pakistan’s steadfast backing during the recent conflict with Israel.

“The Zionist regime is constantly attempting to sow discord among Muslim nations,” he said, stressing that unity and harmony among Islamic countries was the need of the hour.

President Pezeshkian also expressed satisfaction over the current state of bilateral relations, highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue to further strengthen cooperation. He noted that both nations have significant potential to expand collaboration across multiple sectors.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated President Pezeshkian on what he described as Iran’s “great victory in the war” and reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance against the Israeli attacks.

He told the Iranian president that Pakistan had unequivocally condemned the aggression at every international forum. “Pakistan’s Parliament was the first to pass a resolution denouncing the war imposed on Iran and affirming Iran’s legitimate right to self-defence,” Naqvi added.
