ISLAMABAD – In welcome news for aspiring pilgrims, the Federal Ministry for Religious Affairs has announced an extension in the booking deadline for the Private Hajj Scheme 2026, offering more time and convenience for applicants eager to secure their place.
Originally set to close on October 17, the registration deadline has now been pushed to October 22, 2025, giving people an additional five days to complete their applications. The ministry said the move aims to ensure that no eligible individual misses out on the opportunity to perform the sacred pilgrimage next year.
According to official figures, a total of 60,000 seats have been reserved under the private Hajj quota for 2026. So far, more than 55,000 bookings have already been confirmed, while a limited number of seats remain open for those who are still finalizing arrangements.
Ministry officials have urged applicants to register only through authorized Hajj operators listed on the ministry’s official website. They cautioned the public against unverified agents and emphasized that all payments must be made through proper banking channels, with pilgrims required to collect official receipts and copies of their agreements to avoid any risk of fraud.
To make the process smoother, the government has introduced digital tools this year. Through the ministry’s official website and the Pak Hajj mobile app, applicants can now verify their booking status, confirm payment records, and ensure their submitted data is accurate a major step toward transparency and accessibility.
Officials noted that both government and private Hajj schemes have received an overwhelming response, with thousands of applications already submitted. The ministry is reportedly focusing on improving organization, comfort, and transparency in next year’s arrangements to provide pilgrims with a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience.
The deadline extension comes as a final opportunity for those who have yet to apply a relief for many who were facing delays in documentation or payment. With the new cutoff date approaching, officials are encouraging applicants to complete the process as soon as possible to secure their journey for Hajj 2026.
