PM Shehbaz Expresses Solidarity with Türkiye Amid Izmir Wildfires

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed heartfelt sorrow over the raging wildfires sweeping through Türkiye’s Izmir province, offering prayers and solidarity with the people of Türkiye during this difficult time.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister extended his condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Turkish nation, saying he was deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the fires.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the brave and resilient people of Türkiye,” he wrote. “We hope the fires are brought under control swiftly, with minimal loss of life and property.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding bond with its brotherly nation, the Prime Minister added that Pakistan stands ready to extend any support or assistance that Türkiye may need in this critical hour.
