Extortionists Resurface in Karachi: Transporter Threatened with Bullet and Rs 1 Million Demand

KARACHI – The menace of extortion has once again reared its head in the city, as a transporter in Shah Latif Town received a chilling threat demanding Rs 1 million in extortion accompanied by a live bullet.

According to police sources, the unidentified extortionists sent the demand slip and bullet to the transporter, identified as Sarfaraz Arain, warning him that if he failed to pay the amount, his properties and constructions would be demolished.

Law enforcement officials have registered a case on Arain’s complaint and launched an investigation into the incident. Police say operations in the area have been intensified to track down the suspects and curb the growing threat of extortion that continues to haunt Karachi’s business community.

Authorities assured that all those involved in the crime will be brought to justice soon, reaffirming their commitment to restoring a sense of safety and stability in the affected neighborhoods.
